I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and our waiter, Samuel, made it truly special. Samuel was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making the celebration memorable, giving great recommendations and keeping everything running smoothly. He never made us feel rushed, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The sushi was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The manager was also super sweet, checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you to Samuel and the team for making my birthday so memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

the workers are really friendly and attentive. the food was awesome, so flavorful. ordered the Ebi sumono salad and the tuna/salmon bowl. both had amazing flavor and the cucumber was fresh and crunchy! also ordered the chicken and vegetable plate with rice, the chicken was delicious and the vegetables had nice flavor, the rice wasn’t overly salty. would definitely order again! loved my first time here *update this is my 3rd or 4th time here and i’m always so happy. the food is always fresh and delicious, their taste is amazing. tried a new dish this time, under the appetizer section it’s called New Style Sashimi Salmon omg everyone needs to try it it’s so good. thank you Erik once again so kind and hospitable, it’s always good to see you

Kato Sabi Sushi is hands down our favorite sushi spot in McAllen. The staff already knows us when we walk in, which makes the experience feel even more special every time. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and always has a good vibe that sets it apart from other sushi places in town. The food here is on another level everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with care. From their sushi rolls to the fried rice, every bite stands out. Honestly, the quality here outshines other places. You can tell they put thought into their sauces, toppings, and presentation, which makes each visit memorable. Service is consistently excellent attentive, friendly, and fast. It’s rare to find a place where you feel both like a regular and like a valued guest every single time. We’ve been back multiple times already, and it’s easily become our go-to sushi spot. If you’re looking for the freshest sushi, incredible rice, and an atmosphere where you actually feel welcomed, Kato Sabi should be at the top of your list.

This place was absolutely incredible! The food was amazing, everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. I celebrated my birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They made one of my sushi rolls look like a flower, which was such a sweet surprise, and even treated us to a delicious crepe dessert on the house. Everyone was so kind and attentive, I genuinely felt appreciated and celebrated. Definitely coming back again soon!

Very delicious! Great service and reasonable prices. Our waiter Erik was very helpful in recommending their specialties. We even got a preview directly from the chef of a new aguachile dish coming out at the beginning of the year. Highly recommended!!!
